The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the largest hot air balloon event on the planet. Held during the first week of October, it draws hundreds of balloons and more than 1,000 pilots to the New Mexico desert. Highlights include dawn mass ascensions, dazzling evening Balloon Glows, and the crowd-favorite Special Shape Rodeo, where more than 100 uniquely shaped balloons fill the sky. Often called the world’s most photographed event, it’s a true bucket-list experience.
