One of the Northeast’s premier ballooning events, the Adirondack Balloon Festival fills the skies above Queensbury, New York each September with roughly 100 hot air balloons. Born in the 1970s as a way to draw visitors to the region after Labor Day, it has grown into a beloved autumn tradition of mass ascensions, evening glows, and family-friendly fun set against the Adirondack foothills.
